Lemonade

This idea came from a quote that I like to stand by "When life gives you lemons shut up and eat the lemons." But I decided to mild it down a little bit so it wouldn't seem as harsh. (Thats actually not my car, its a 69 Charger.)

Easter Over-load

I actually drew this on Easter, but I waited the four weeks it states in the comic before I posted it. The idea behind this one came when we went to our friends place in Santa Barbara. We brought an 18count package of eggs to dye and they had bought a twelve count package to dye, so we had 30 dyed eggs. Our friend also told us a story about how her parents would hide the eggs every year but wouldn't find them all on that day, they would find them through out the next few months.

Dweedle-nose

The story behind this comic comes from when Allison and I were driving around San Jose one time we saw this guy carrying his bike around. Allison with her window down not thinking just said "bikes are for riding." so not to look like the wimp who's woman yells things at people and just sit idly by, I thought fast and interjected the last phrase "dweedle-nose." At this point she just laughed at me for coming up with such a wussy put down.

Yes Sweety

This is to poke fun at the fact that if I am ever doing anything, from working on my car to cooking dinner, if Allison talks to me or asks me a question chances are I'm not getting a word of it, but I still mechanically answer.

Crossword Puzzle

I came up with this idea, from riding the train to San Francisco everyday when I was in school. I would collect what ever newspapers I could from people who would get off the train before me, and I would go straight to the crossword puzzles. what ever words I couldn't guess I would either call or text my friends to see if they knew anything. I then reversed the roles around in my head to see what it was like for them to get these random calls and texts, and I thought it was pretty funny. So can any of you name items that are being asked?

Play Ball

So this was drawn right after a baseball game that Allison and I went to at SJSU. It was there realized that we would always go to baseball games and if anyone would ask we would say "Yeah lets go baseball is cool". After the first or second inning though we would remember "Wait a minute we don't really like baseball, we just like going out" then we would wait restlessly the whole rest of the innings for it to end so we could go do something else.

The Weatherman

So this idea came right after I finished the previous comic. I thought what else could I try to fabricate out of household materials. (I was also watching a lot of MacGyver at the time.) Just a few hints on what the pencil fading is showing: the stockpots of water are on hot plates, and there is a beach umbrella that is catching all the steam.

DIY

This one is really worth it to read all the way through and pay close attention to detail. This has been another one of my idea's that I have always wanted to try but havent had the means. All the information stated in the comic is true, I had Allison look it up online one day while I was at work because I had the idea and needed to finish it so I could stop thinking about it.

Battle Royal

This idea comes from always wanting to lock a humidifier and a de-humidifier in a room and let them fight it out.

Change

This idea was pitched to me by one of my friends about how people change for everyone that they date.

Everything Corn

I've kinda always had this idea in the back of my mind, really ever since I learned about corned beef.

Payload

This idea came from when I went to Vegas for the first time after I turned 21. I just thought it was such a naive and novel idea. If you look to the far right you can see the name of the casino as Roy & Al's Casino, which is a play off of Jame Bond's Casino Royal.

Aquaphobia

This comic deals with the fact that I have a huge fear of large bodies of water, or bodies of water in general. I do love the idea of surfing though, so its a horrible vicious circle. I had this idea when I was invited to a beach party and I thought about what I would do at a party on the beach since I don't like water.

Seperation

This is one of my on the go comics, which is why it is crudely drawn and on a napkin. It was an idea that just came to me one day while I was picking Allison up at work.

Sleep-E-Time

Sorry about a lag in the daily posts, but due to being on vacation and not around any internet I was forced to abandon the daily posts. They are back however and will keep airing so stay tuned.The idea behind this comic came from when my wife and I went bed shopping, and we found this bed that was unbelievably comfortable. As circumstance would have it the bed was way out of our price range and we got a hand-me-down, but I at least got this comic out of it. Coincidentally Sleep-E-Time is the name of a motel I would stay in when I would go to a little town called Enterprise.

The Old Days

This is in reference to how everybody has a story about how the old days were perfect and now its all kabutz. (But in my life time I can remember when gas was 79 cents a gallon and milk was 99 cents a gallon.)

Cruise De La Pirate

This is an attempt to cash in on a pirate joke. Yes that is a chocolate fondue fountain on a the pirate cruise, my theory is any self respecting pirate would enjoy a good fondue and what could be funnier than a pirate eating fondue, especially if they used their hook.

Pocket Peta Paint

I came up with the phrase pocket PETA paint and some of the dialog for this about three years ago when I was in San Francisco everyday, but barely put it to paper a while ago.
